Our Story
Samaj Kalyan Shiksha Samiti (SKSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of underprivileged senior citizens. Our mission is to transform and enrich the lives of abandoned, destitute, and helpless elderly individuals by providing them with care, dignity, and a supportive environment.
What began as a humble initiative in January 1991, offering food and shelter to the poor and needy, has today evolved into a model social service institution addressing the diverse needs of senior citizens. SKSS strives to bring out the inner potential of every resident, empowering them to become responsible, confident individuals who can lead meaningful and productive lives within mainstream society. With unwavering commitment to this vision, SKSS has continuously expanded its services through need-based programs and activities.
With a rich and inspiring history spanning over more than two decades, SKSS stands as a symbol of compassion, dedication, and social responsibility.
To ensure holistic well-being, SKSS provides a live-in Resident Manager and a Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC). The LEC plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of residents by keeping them engaged with community events, organizing outings and social gatherings, and collaborating closely with the Resident Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
