Our Story
Established and registered in 2000, the Society for Education & Welfare Activities (SEWA) was initially registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 and later also registered under the Haryana Registration & Regulation of Societies Act, 2012. The organization is further recognized under the FCRA (1976/2010), holds 12AA and 80G certification under the Income Tax Act, is eligible for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support, and is registered on the NGO Darpan (NITI Aayog) portal of the Government of India.
SEWA was founded with the mission to serve the welfare of the weaker and vulnerable sections of society. The organization works actively in the areas of education and cultural promotion, empowerment of women and girls, care and wellbeing of senior citizens, health promotion, child rights protection, and overall health upliftment in both rural communities and urban slum areas. Its impact is made possible through the dedicated efforts of its founder members, office bearers, general members, staff, social workers, volunteers, and the continuous support of the public.
