About Panchvati :
Panchvati Elder Care Home is a not for profit organization in Tuglakabad, Delhi, India, founded in 2009. The organization has 40 living spaces, created as an oasis in the chaotic hub bub of Tuglakabad Extension.
We are environment conscious, using naturally recycled grey water and solar energy, and pride ourselves on the family atmosphere.
We offer:
Short-stay with assisted living facility: a secure and carefree haven for senior citizens, for a day, a week or longer in a caring, vibrant atmosphere.
Recovery and rehabilitation: A universally accessible place for elders recuperating from any illness or other medical conditions, that require supervised home care and supervised visits to the doctor.
Day care for anybody who enjoys this peer group and home cooked meals.
Day-care and residential facilities for people with dementia or Alzheimer’s, ensuring specialized care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Inclusive community living: short term stays for working professionals from all over the world, enclosing them in our safety net and promoting “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”.
Robust entertainment: pool table, card games, creative upcycling, frequent activities due to the continuous inflow of volunteers, working professionals, students and children.
Looking ahead, we envision this concept being adopted on a larger scale by the government to help build truly inclusive communities—where people of all ages, backgrounds, religions, and castes can live together with dignity and joy. We believe elder care should not be isolated from the rhythm of everyday life. What society needs is not higher walls, but wider hearts—capable of embracing someone else’s parents, grandparents, or children as our own.
