Our Story
Like many great institutions, the Narmadaben Charitable Foundation (NCF) was born from a dream — the vision of its Founder President, Shri Bhupatray Mehta. On November 13, 1980, in his mid-thirties, he established the NCF Trust in memory of his grandmother, Smt. Narmadaben, with the purpose of enriching the lives of the elderly.
Today, the Trust manages two eldercare Homes in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. Both Homes operate on a No Profit, No Loss basis, with residents contributing towards their stay.
Narmada Niketan – The first Home, built on a 3,000 sq. m. plot, provides accommodation for 50 independent senior citizens. It includes a boarding facility, a satsang hall for prayers and community gatherings, a central temple dedicated to Lord Radha-Krishna, and a clinic for residents.
Vishram Dham – The second Home, built on a 6,000 sq. m. plot, houses up to 150 independent senior citizens. It features a boarding facility, a large auditorium (Mangal Sabhagruh) with a capacity of 500, and spacious halls designed to host community-oriented activities aligned with the Trust’s mission. The premises also include Arogya Dham and a dedicated Home for the Aged.
Currently, more than 90 senior citizens reside across both Homes. Additionally, within Vishram Dham, NCF has allocated space to another organization, Parijatha, which provides residential care for immobile seniors. Around 60–70 immobile residents are presently housed there, benefiting from these extended services.
