Our Story
Mr. Sunil Krishnarao Desai, aged 59 years, an Indian inhabitant, established the K.T. Desai Educational Trust in 2003 with the vision of serving society. The primary objectives of the trust were to provide education to economically weaker sections, establish a nursing college, offer shelter and care to senior citizens and destitute individuals, and create orphanages for children across all age groups.
In line with these objectives, the Krishnarao Old Age Home was founded in January 2012 and named Krishnarao Vruddhashram. This institution is committed to providing care and shelter to senior citizens irrespective of caste, creed, community, or gender. We extend our support to bedridden patients, mentally challenged individuals, paralytic and post-operative patients, and persons with hearing impairments. Additionally, we provide shelter and livelihood opportunities to destitute women, along with accommodation for their children below five years of age.
Our facility, Krishnarao Vruddhashram, is located at Krishnarao Apartment, Badlapur (East), housed in a well-ventilated three-storey building with 19 flats, accommodating over 100 residents. We have an in-house kitchen that prepares nutritious meals for both residents and caregivers. A dedicated team of caretakers and a manager are available 24/7, throughout the year, ensuring constant support and assistance to all inmates.
