Our Story
Citizen's Welfare Association Old Age Home was founded in January 2013 by Mahendran Paramashivan, whose life’s work has been rooted in compassion and service. Having worked as a ward boy in multiple hospitals, Mahendran witnessed countless elderly patients abandoned by their families, left in wards with only staff for company, and yearning for love and attention.
His experience extended beyond hospitals—he also provided private care to patients at home and saw first-hand how many elders struggled without family support. These deeply moving experiences inspired him to create a space where seniors are not just cared for, but cherished.
With encouragement and support from his mother, Mahendran’s vision became a reality: a home where every resident is treated with dignity, warmth, and heartfelt care. At Citizen's Welfare Association, love, respect, and companionship are at the heart of everything they do, ensuring that every senior feels valued, supported, and at peace.
