Our Story
Our aim is to provide senior citizens with a peaceful, stress-free life in a serene and beautiful environment. The facility includes 15 rooms spread across 7 cottages, accommodating up to 30 residents on a twin-sharing basis. Additional spaces include a library, medical room, dining area with an attached kitchen, and a recreation room equipped with a common TV and indoor games like chess, cards, and carrom.
Admissions are offered to physically independent senior citizens who can manage their daily activities without assistance. Each applicant undergoes a screening and interview process conducted by the Trustees. The home was established on 15th April 2012, beginning with just two residents.
Chaitanya is managed by Mathura Foundation, a public charitable trust registered with the Charity Commissioner’s Office, Mumbai. Donations made to the Foundation are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
To ensure the well-being of residents, the facility is supported by a caretaker and two resident staff members available on-site 24/7, along with additional staff from nearby villages. A doctor from a mobile medical unit visits weekly for regular health check-ups. The Foundation also operates its own ambulance service with a driver available round the clock.
