Our Story
APNA GHAR ASHRAM operates 50 ashrams across India and has been caring for nearly 9,000 individuals with compassion and dignity for over 22 years. We lovingly refer to our residents as Prabhujis (a form of God), rather than calling them destitute. Through our efforts, we have positively impacted more than 50,000 lives.
We provide completely free support, including clean and hygienic accommodation, nutritious meals, medicines, clothing, and all essential needs. The combined daily operational cost of all our ashrams is approximately ₹20 lakh.
About Us
In Pune, APNA GHAR runs two ashrams—one for women in Hinjewadi and one for men in Charholi Budruk (Pride World City), with a total capacity of 180 residents (Prabhujis). A dedicated team of 36 staff members ensures round-the-clock care and support. APNA GHAR ASHRAM in Pune is managed by Majha Ghar Foundation, with daily expenses of around ₹75,000 for both centers.
We provide lifelong care to individuals who are critically ill, elderly, or bedridden. At the end of life, APNA GHAR ensures that final rites are performed with utmost respect and dignity, in accordance with the individual’s religious beliefs.
