Our Story
NIWARA is a self-sustained charitable trust, widely respected for its dedication to the care and well-being of its residents. Its primary mission is to serve destitute elderly individuals with dignity and compassion. Once admitted, residents receive all services free of cost, with lifelong care provided in every aspect. The organization is supported by generous contributions from individuals across society, both in cash and kind.
The facility features a modern residential complex with 20 rooms, each accommodating eight residents, along with attached toilets and bathrooms. Fresh, nutritious meals are served daily in dining halls, and in case of illness, meals are provided in the residents’ rooms.
Life at NIWARA is designed to be engaging and community-oriented. Festivals are celebrated together, and residents receive new clothes three times a year. Medical and nursing care are available whenever required, ensuring continuous support.
Residents are encouraged to live like a family, actively participating in daily activities within the campus. The home also offers recreational and cultural engagement through a library, bhajan groups, and arts and crafts sessions. Annual outings to nearby places around Pune are organized to bring joy and variety to their routine.
The staff and volunteers are committed to creating a comfortable, supportive, and happy environment for all residents. In addition, NIWARA is progressing towards office automation, with accounts and records being digitized and regularly audited. All necessary reports are submitted to the Charity Commissioner in compliance with regulations, and the organization maintains a website to provide essential information to the public.
