Our Story
Guided by the principles “Service to man is service to God” and “Service to humanity is the highest purpose of life,” Janaseva Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization committed to social welfare through a diverse range of initiatives. Established on 15th January 1988, the foundation operates as a non-political, non-religious, and not-for-profit organization. While most of its services are offered free of cost, some are available at nominal charges to ensure sustainability.
Dr. Vinod Shah, the Founder Chairman, draws inspiration from the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, Sane Guruji, Baba Amte, and Mother Teresa, along with the legacy of service within his own family, many of whom were freedom fighters.
The foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees under the leadership of Dr. Vinod Shah, with strong support from Founder Trustee and Secretary, Mrs. Meena Shah. Their efforts are further strengthened by patrons, an advisory committee, and a dedicated team of volunteers.
Since 2015, Janaseva Foundation has been honored with Special Consultative Status by the United Nations, recognizing its impactful contributions to society.
