Our Story
Saath Saath Charitable Trust is a registered social organisation working towards rural upliftment by supporting poor, neglected, and underprivileged communities through village-level development initiatives. Under its Gram Vikas Yojana, the Trust has launched Vivekanandalay at Velneshwar (Taluka Guhagar) on land donated by the Joshi family, focusing on education, health, agriculture, rural employment, and women empowerment.
The Trust recognises two parallel realities — young people want to contribute but lack time, while many senior citizens, living alone post-retirement, seek purpose, engagement, and a healthy lifestyle. With increased life expectancy, seniors often have 20–25 active years after retirement and wish to give back meaningfully.
Vivekanandalay addresses this by inviting senior citizens to participate as volunteers in village development during their second innings, while pursuing long-cherished interests in a serene, pollution-free environment close to nature.
The project is already underway, with land development, water and power infrastructure, plantations, and medical camps completed. Phase one, including four bungalows, is ready, with plans for additional housing, common facilities, and modern amenities to support 40 senior residents.
Saath Saath Charitable Trust invites socially responsible individuals to support Project Vivekanandalay through donations in cash or kind and be part of this collaborative, not-for-profit initiative for rural and social upliftment.
