Our Story
Baba Bhaskar Pawar Vrudhashram Trust was founded in 2013 by Late Shri Baba Bhaskar Pawar, a retired military officer who dedicated his post-retirement years to serving the elderly and physically challenged. His vision was to create a safe, respectful, and compassionate home for those in need, irrespective of caste, community, or religion.
After his passing, his son Mr. Amar Bhaskar Pawar has carried forward this mission with steadfast dedication, ensuring that every resident at the Vrudhashram receives the care, dignity, and love they deserve.
Located in Sakawar Village, Virar East, District Palghar, Maharashtra, the Vrudhashram stands on one acre of ancestral land belonging to the Pawar family. Operated as a non-governmental organization, it receives no government funding and continues to run solely through public donations and community support.
Our Services & Facilities
1. Senior Citizen Assisted Living (Vasai–Virar)
We provide a homely and supportive environment with round-the-clock care, helping seniors live with dignity, comfort, and independence.
2. Medical & Healthcare Support
As a senior citizen rehabilitation center, we specialize in caring for bedridden patients and those with chronic illnesses. Our healthcare team ensures regular check-ups, physiotherapy sessions, and immediate medical assistance when needed.
3. Shelter for the Homeless in Virar
Our care extends beyond the elderly. We also provide shelter for abandoned individuals, including the physically handicapped and mentally challenged, offering them safety and compassion.
4. Nutritious Meals & Hygiene Care
We prioritize health through balanced, hygienic, and nourishing meals, supporting the overall well-being of our residents while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
5. Social, Spiritual & Recreational Activities
From yoga, bhajans, and cultural programs to group discussions and recreational sessions, we create opportunities for residents to engage, bond, and experience joy in a community setting.
